Dexis has worked extensively across the West Africa region implementing programs in agriculture, stabilization and conflict mitigation, security sector reform, and monitoring, evaluation, and learning. Across West Africa, Dexis collaborates with U.S. Government agencies including USAID, the Department of State, and the Department of Defense, as well as with host country governments and militaries, and implementing partners. To ensure seamless project management and implementation, our projects in francophone West Africa are supported by a French-speaking Project Management Unit in our home office, including a Project Manager, Project Associate, and finance, human resources (HR), and contracts support staff. In the past five years, Dexis has worked across 17 countries in the region, including Mauritania, Mali, Niger, Chad, Senegal, The Gambia, Guinea, Guinea-Bissau, Sierra Leone, Liberia, Côte d’Ivoire, Ghana, Togo, Benin, Cameroon, Burkina Faso, and Cabo Verde. Dexis has long-term presence and holds active business registrations in Ghana, Burkina Faso, and Chad. Over the past five years, we have fielded over 1,000 personnel and consultants for short term technical assistance, and currently have eight long-term staff based in Ghana, Chad, Côte d’Ivoire, and Burkina Faso.
Dexis currently supports the USG across East Africa in 11 projects in the areas of stabilization, health, education, and food security. With a long-term presence in Tanzania and the DRC, Dexis is able to implement on-the-ground expert insight in order to meet outlined objectives. Collaborating with USAID, State, and DoD, as well as with host country governments, affiliated militaries, and local communities, Dexis has fielded personnel and staff in all of the 11 regional countries.
In Southern Africa, Dexis is engaged in cross-cutting development projects that range from professional services support to monitoring and evaluation. In the recently initiated USAID Southern Africa Mission Support contract, Dexis is responsible for providing services to support the region’s Missions and offices, including the Power Africa Office in the areas of program support, administration, financial management, and acquisition and assistance services to ensure USAID’s continuing ability to successfully implement its assistance activities. USAID’s programs in the region have a broad range of objectives, including fighting the HIV/AIDS epidemic, supporting democratic processes, fighting climate change, and integrating trade. Offices vary in size from full, large scale Missions to smaller non-presence country offices, and rely in varying degrees on services and support provided out of the regional platform in Pretoria, South Africa.
