Supported the Government of St. Kitts and Nevis in drafting a policy, legal and regulatory reforms and provided input to the new Investment Promotion Agency legislation being drafted by the Government.

To promote investment and create an enabling environment that is transparent, open, fair and in accordance with international best practices.

Activities

Supported drafting of Investment Promotion Agency Legislation to reflect global best practices for institutional establishment and operations . Drafted National Investment Policy Statement which provided a transparent and public statement of the Government's investment policy, objectives and the importance placed on foreign direct investment. Supported drafting of National Investment Law and Regulations.

Results

The consultant's work resulted in a strong investment promotion operational structure to enhance and improve the investment environment for St. Kitts.
