Developing Iraq's first investment portal to enable foreign and local companies to access the full suite of information, forms, licenses, and permits in a single window.

Purpose

Establish an Iraq investment portal to facilitate the immediate and fast dissemination of investment and joint venture opportunities for foreign firms and individuals in Iraq.

Activities

Supervise a team of industry and technology experts in designing and implementing the portal; currently designing the blueprint, drawing upon work undertaken by successful locations such as Ireland, Singapore, and the United States. Prepare the architecture to enable chat boards, database searches, list-serv functions, and personalized home pages for investors.

Results

Establish the first business portal for the government of Iraq's interface with private businesses. Targeting at least 12,000 new businesses and 1,000 international firms for information dissemination and provision. Aim is to post and enable transaction of at least US$1.2 billion in investment and trade over a 12 month period.
